I don't have any dating experience, but I am looking for advice on how to ask someone out that I don't know to well. I'm the quite/shy type and starting and keeping a conversation going is something I'm not good at, but need experience with.

OK, I'm a girl and I known this guy, for a long time actually, and just recently I've started to fall for him. He's very smart and down-to-earth. I honestly think he likes me too; he constantly sits next to me, blushes around me, and always wants to start a conversation. To me, that sounds like an invitation to ask him out, but I'm very afraid and I'm sure he'd be embarrassed if I was the one to ask him out(he's a little old fashioned). I've flirted with him, trying to give him a signal that I like him back, but no matter what I do, he won't go any farther than previously stated. I've be waiting quite a while for him to make his move, but I'm concerned either he's too scared to ask me, or just not interested.
Help?

There is this guy I have totally fallen for at school. He is so amazing and Fun...We always have the greatest times together and we go on like "unofficial dates" to the movies and to the ice rink etc. He even right out told me he likes me, but never continued with the "askin out part" I think he is just really shy...I have never asked a guy out before and I'm really nervous, even though I go on "unofficial dates" With him all the time. He is also going to move to Arizona in a year (but I personally believe anythn could pop up in a year and he will stay here.) Do you think I should ask him out and tell him I feel the same way about him? Please give me your advice...........=)
Thanks

As a guy, the fear of rejection is THE very reason I don't ask women out. Not from a lack of self confidence but because of history. I mean, just think back as far as you can in your own life time and try to remember what your parents and their parents said to you about how men and women used to meet and date. In my opinion, today's dating world has been changed by political correctness and social events. What used to be standard operating procedure "back in the day" is very taboo today or at least considered "so yesterday". Style, finesse, timing, and words used seemed to be so important to women that one slip up can land a guy out the door and into the cold. It ain't worth it.

Has anyone used one of the more niche-focused online dating services? I have tried the two biggies: Match and eHarmony. They were not for me. Several of my friends have had luck on Match and met some really nice guys who shared similar interests. I did not have that experience. Seems very generic to me. Every guy read the same books (The DaVinci Code and Blink), they all liked to walk in the rain and hike, bike, kayak, wind surf, ski......
They are all nice guys just looking for a nice woman. They all make over $100,000 a year and like sunsets. I am looking for a site that digs deeper. A place where I can find out what are you really like? Is that possible via online dating? Am I asking for too much?

i've been dating this guy for a few months now, and the 1st month was so great, we went out all the time, and he was always at my house, we were spending a lot of time together. then out of nowhere he disapeared for a few weeks, he came back eventually after i emailed him, saying that he lost his phone and didnt have my number to call me and he had to go out of town, ect. i let it go and we started seeing eachother again, its nice but i noticed that things are different, he doesnt spend that much time with me anymore, and when he makes plans with me, he stands me up without even a phone call! i really like him, he's so cute, funny, and nice. but i'm not sure if i'm playing myself, by putting up with this behavior. i dont even address it, because i dont want to seem like a nag. how do i handle this, if i still want to see him?

It seems that someone has recommended a lesbian dating site called Ldate here. But I came across its sister(clone) site (I don't know how you say it) called http://www.Lesmingle.com first and was attracted by its nice homepage. It gathers lesbian singles from USA, Canada, Australia, Europe and worldwide. I like that fun and friendly community and have met a lot of interesting girls there. Maybe you can join it if you want to add more romance to your lesbian life. And it will be a bonus if you can find your match in your area, isn't it?
