I can't imagine how you felt! However, I think I can make you feel better:
I am a 44-year old woman. I have not been intimate with a man in three years. About a month ago, I decided to take the plunge with a man I have known for a while but don't see often because he is a soldier. I am a little nervous because it has been so long and because this man is incredibly handsome.
About ten minutes after the "interaction" began, I felt a horrible pain. Then blood appeared. Not a trickle, but more like a fire hose with a big job to do. This beautiful man is looking at me in absolute disbelief and horror! I am thinking this is so freaking typical!
I was visiting my best friend, and this man happens to be her brother-in-law. He has to wake her up and try to explain this...unique situation. She, of course, grabs a panty liner thinking this might help. When she actually sees the enormity of the situation, we all begin to laugh until tears are streaming down our faces and massive amounts of blood down my legs. She then grabs a beach towel instead and we head to the car.
The hospital is ten minutes away. By the time we get there the back seat looks like the Nile River after Moses did his thing with his staff. Once in the exam room, the humiliating questions commence. "Ma’am, are you sure you've done this before?" "Then exactly how long has it been because you are extremely small and atrophied (rotted)?" "Was this normal..."interaction?" "Was this man exceptionally large?" Again, I am a prude, so not only were these questions humiliating, but I am laying in a position that does not cultivate feelings of dignity and respect.
It turns out that I had an eight-inch laceration that tore three arteries. It had to be fixed surgically and I was given a blood transfusion to save my now shattered and hysterical life. cfob
